Do you have grease stains in your kitchen? Or are you going to be painting a room soon? Then I have some advice on a great cleaning product. And what might that be? TSP!
TSP is actually “Trisodium Phosphate.” If you look at your Baking Soda box you will see those exact words – but what you need for cleaning is a little different.
Go to your hardware store and ask for the TSP or Trisodium Phosphate. But buy some rubber gloves as well – this stuff is pretty strong.
I discovered TSP when cleaning the kitchen walls for painting. I had grease and food everywhere, after three kids and many meals. Mix the TSP in a bucket of water as directed, and watch the grease simply melt away.
TSP is also excellent for cleaning bathroom stains and soap buildup. It is also a pretty “green” cleaning product. I’ve never found dirt, grease or stains that TSP did not clean – and that says a lot when it comes to my busy household!

My house is full of grease stains and marks on the walls from our kids. I’ll have to try this stuff. Where can you get it? At the Home Depot? Thanks for sharing!

I am a painter and actually carry this with me. Be sure to clean the residue off before painting. But yes, this is a great grease cleaner.
